A NON-Government agency engaged in micro-financing scheme is targeting a mountainous village of Pag-asa in Orani, Bataan for its agricultural training school complete with basic amenities.
Orani Mayor Efren E. Pascual, Jr. said he welcomes the group of former Pampanga governor Among Ed Panlilio who signified its intention to invest a multi-million capital in Barangay Pag-asa.
Panlilio paid a courtesy call on Mayor Pascual last week to assess and draw up plans for the project which is first of its kind in Orani. The Light Micro-finance Inc. is engaged in financing worthy projects in the countryside to generate employment and develop the youth, Panlilio said. The project can easily generate 1,000 workers in its first phase.
Panlilio’s party was briefed by Bataan First District Board Member Rey Ibe on various on-going infrastructure projects in Bataan province more particularly in Orani which aims to become a future tourist destination.
Last year, the municipal government of Orani ventured into promotion of its farm tourism and seafood industry with the assistance of Department of Tourism.
