BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A former government information officer who migrated to Australia almost three decades ago is impressed by the pulsating economic growth of Bataan as he predicted, that the province is now one of the premier business hubs in Central Luzon.
Nelson P. Alarcon, who served as assistant provincial manager of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), was the guest speaker at the 9th Installation of the new officers of the Dambana ng Kagitingan Lodge number 377 held Saturday afternoon at Lou-is Restaurant, this City said it is truly exciting to see the progress of Balanga City and the province compared to its status in the 90’s.
Alarcon, a past master of Lodge the Star of Australia number 200, has attributed the remarkable development to the sound business policy and good governance which contributed significantly in pursuing the vision of the current top-notch political leaders.
He described the confidence of the local and foreign investors to the local leadership maybe traced to its wide-ranging program focusing on healthy corporate atmosphere with substantially available manpower resources, power and other infrastructure facilities ready to accommodate new industrial and commercial firms.
All these incentives and the existing six economic zones are vital keys that would enhance the productive environment for investors to participate to the socio-economic prosperity of the historic peninsula, Alarcon said.
