District hospital to rise in Mariveles

MARIVELES, Bataan – Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion has conceptualized the establishment of an efficient and effective modernized health services as basic key to sustainable socio-economic growth of the province’s leading industrial town.

Mayor Concepcion has implored in his systematic development objectives of giving top priority for the health program of the residents and workers of the Freeport Area of Bataan.

He commended Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia’s whole-hearted support for the creation of a level one general hospital with 50-75 bed capacity to provide medical services to residents.

He agreed with the governor of embracing the hospital project under the Public-Private Partnership and Investment mode for the operation and maintenance for this purpose.

The potential investor can qualify as a locator in the Freeport Zone and access to the full complement of fiscal and non-fiscal incentives.

The former site of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Bataan Campus was renovated by the province to house the planned medical facility.

The proposed hospital is a three-level structure with floor area of 3,248 square meter and accessible to the FAB and greater populated district of Mariveles town.

Mayor Concepcion explained the conversion of the PUP branch into a district hospital was conceived under the Bataan sustainable development strategy of the late Governor Enrique T. Garcia, Jr. of giving more emphasis in three major sectors of economic, society and environmental/ human health sectors.
