In compliance with the Anti-drunk and Drugged Driving Act of 2013, the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) in cooperation with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), in its commitment to ensure the safety of motorists and commuters plying the Bataan highways, conducted a dry run of operations using the Alcohol Breath Analyzer (ABA) to determine the level of blood alcohol content of motor vehicle drivers passing through the said highway in Brgy. Alauli, Pilar last November 8.
This dry run, in line with the enforcement of Ordinance No. 1 series of 2019 also known as “Comprehensive anti-driving under the influence of alcohol, dangerous drugs and/or similar substance ordinance for the province of Bataan” was spearheaded by MBDA Assistant General Manager Christopher Pizarro and Operations Supervisor Jimmy Angeles.
During the dry run, waylaid motorists were requested to do a field sobriety test to determine intoxication specified as the eye test, walk-and-turn, and one-leg stand before doing the mandatory alcohol and chemical testing using the ABA which allowed no more than .05% of blood alcohol content.
