DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has donated P4.3 million funds for the drug surrenderees’ reformation program of 3 Bataan towns. Dinalupihan and Orion towns received P1.74 million each and Balanga City, P800 thousand.
The NGCP team led by North Luzon District 5 Head Engineer Napoleon Viterbo and Regional Corporate Communication Officer Fely Mercado successively conducted the symbolic turnover of the checks to the 3 towns on Friday.
“Bataan has effective governance, care for the environment and is clean, and more importantly boasts its human resources”, Viterbo who has been holding office at NGCP Hermosa Substation for the last 14 years, said in his message in the ceremonial turnover here. “We are also thankful for giving us the opportunity to help in the drug reformation program in the province”, he added.
For her part, Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia said, “All stakeholders must help in the reformation of surrenderees”.
“Our approach in the program here in Dinalupihan is holistic and NGCP sees that”, she also said.
The turnover of the symbolic check at Bahay Pagbabago in Barangay San Benito here coincided with the start of Dinalupihan’s 10th batch of 30-day drug surrenderees’ reformation program. The lady mayor said the donated fund will be used for the operation of their Bahay Pagbabago.
