BALANGA CITY, Bataan – As the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) is mandated to provide essential data for local development planning and efficient implementation of plans, programs and projects, the office facilitated a three-day orientation-meeting to introduce to different government agencies a new concept in gathering, collecting and collation of data termed as the Data Analytics Center (DAC), held at Bulwagan I, Capitol Compound, Feb. 22-24.
“Ginagawa namin ang seminar na ito para sa pag-e-establish ng Data Analytics Center. Ito yung process ng pag-ko-consolidate ng lahat ng data coming from various data sources using the Google Drive. At ito ay naka-anchor sa Vision-Mission of the province,” said Engr. Alexander Baluyot, PPDO Head.
The DAC, PPDO’s new flagship program, aims to provide a dependable database management system that is quickly accessible in house or through a website.
“Itong DAC ay maituturing natin na repository of data which will supply accurate and comprehensive data to end-users. Ito rin ay magiging way for a better access convenient to researchers and students,” said Charmaine Barlis, Project Development Officer I of PPDO.
The said orientation was participated by 263 representatives coming from different government agencies who were grouped according to sector and functions, as data providers.
