PPMI’s journey to DOLE’s industrial peace award

It all started last May 2019, when our team responded to a call from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for official entries for the 2019 Search for Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation for Industrial Peace which acclaims well established Labor Management Committees or Councils that have enhanced labor-management relations, job satisfaction, quality, profitability and productivity in both organized and unorganized companies.

Such feat was new to all of us, but we did the best that we could and complied with the guidelines provided by DOLE, where we focused on theme and branding in addition to showcasing our best practices that made us stand out.
After hurdling the Regional Validation last September, we conquered the National Validation last October that practically earned us our plane ticket to Cagayan de Oro City for the National Awarding.

Lo and behold, aside from being a National Finalist, PPMI was adjudged Special Awardee for Effective Organizational Structure, besting more established and stable companies nationwide, compared to PPMI’s less than 5 years of operation.

With this prestigious award, still, we cannot rest on our laurels for we believe that we still have a lot to learn and plenty of rooms and opportunities for improvement that will somehow gear us up for the 2021 search.
To the Perpetual Prime Manufacturing, Inc. employees, workers and Labor Management Unity Circle these awards belong to all of you.
