4 Bataan LGUs among top MANILA BAYani awardees

Three municipalities and a component city of the province of Bataan were awarded by the Department of Interior and Local Government for high compliance on the Supreme Court Mandamus on Manila Bay Clean-up, Rehabilitation and Preservation Program.

Samal Mayor Aida Macalinao said her town, along with Balanga City, Orani and Dinalupihan were among the awardees for the 2020 Regional MANILA BAYani Awarding Ceremony yesterday, March 25, 2021

Samal, Dinalupihan, Orani and Balanga City were the awardees for High Compliant LGUs of Bataan.
Meanwhile, Dinalupihan LGU led by Mayor Gila Garcia was included in the Provincial Top Performers Municipal Category along with Baliwag, Bulacan; Candaba, Pampanga; Sta Rosa, Nueva Ecija; and Bamban, Tarlac.

The City of Balanga (Bataan) led by Mayor Francis Garcia was among the awardees for Provincial Top Performers City Category along with San Jose Del Monte City(Bulacan), San Fernando City (Pampanga), Tarlac City (Tarlac), Palayan City (Nueva Ecija).
Dinalupihan LGU got the Second Place for Regional Top Performer, Municipal Category with Baliwag, Bulacan as Top Performer and Santa Maria, Bulacan as the Third Placer.

Balanga City emerged as the Top Performer in the Regional Top Performers, City Category.
DILG Region III through the Manila Bay Program Management Team led the 2020 Regional MANILA BAYani Awarding Ceremony. The program was conducted through an online platform in compliance to the minimum health standards and safety protocols.
DILG Regional Director Julie J. Daquioag, in her welcome message, emphasized the significant role of LGUs as forefront in sustaining conducive environment and clean Manila Bay. She also congratulated the High Compliant Local Government Units of Central Luzon.

The activity was participated by the Local Chief Executives of concerned LGUs together with their Local Functionaries and City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officers, DILG Provincial Directors of Manila Bay area and Regional Inter-Agency Committee members.
