Bataan’s fight against illegal drugs

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Bataan Police Provincial Office held its assessment on anti-illegal drugs campaign spearheaded by PNP-Bataan Chief Police Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Governor Abet Garcia, Congressman Joet Garcia, Mayor Francis Garcia, barangay officials and members of anti-drug abuse councils of each municipality and city from all over the province attended the assessment held at Lou-is Restaurant, this city, yesterday.
PNP-Bataan Chief Police Senior Supt. Marcelo Dayag discussed the programs their office is implementing in the fight against illegal drugs. He proudly presented the best practices such as bahay pagbabago, sumbong bilis, Ipatroller, and patrulya ng bayan which are visible in everywhere in the province.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cluster Team Leader Yvette Cosio discussed the importance of having a Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) in every municipality because the fight should start at the barangay, in the community, not only in the municipal and provincial levels. Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III Officer Glen Guillermo discussed the different kinds of illegal drugs present in the society such as Methamphetamine, party drugs, and others.
