LIMAY, Bataan – Former Bataan vice governor, Rogelio “Boy” Roque is acknowledging the worthy contributions of renowned political leaders and prominent families who had assertively transformed the historic peninsula into one of the principal hubs of economic activities in Central Luzon.
Mr. Rogelio Roque , a member of the Board of Directors of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), is advocating for the preparation of comprehensive research on the development perspectives highlighting historical, cultural and economy of the historical peninsula .
The former vice governor explained the exploration of the rich heritage of the province will benefit future generations which will serve as model to achieve balanced and business friendly atmosphere and greatly inspired them to emulate the positive and nationalistic fervor .
He discussed the unquestionable development foresight focusing on the reputable programs of intellectually-gifted political leaders and upright families in the province are the outcome of systematic paces toward productivity which the present population enjoy.
He reminisced the construction of Bataan refinery seven decades ago in the coastal village of Lamao had triggered industrial revolution and the setting up of the first export processing zone in Mariveles town in 1972, despite labor turmoil then, became a primary investment capital of the country.
