The Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) recently held the 3rd Galing Bataan awards participated by the different micro-small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), cooperatives, and Municipal Cooperative Development Offices (MCDOs) all over the province last November 8 at WalterMart, Balanga City.
PCEDO Head Azucena Sugatain congratulated the 40 nominees for the food, non-food, and services category saying that being one of the nominees makes them winners already. LandBank of the Philippines – Lending Center Manager Melissa Abundo commended the Province of Bataan through its cooperatives for maintaining no past due in their records. A total of 24 cooperatives and MSMEs are being assisted by PCEDO
The guest speaker was the founder of Asian Solidarity Economy Council, Dr. Benjamin Quiñones, who commended the mission, vision, and core values of the Province and said that the Galing Bataan awards reflect the following through the different business establishments’ best practices.
Governor Albert Garcia on the other hand expressed his gratitude to Dr. Quiñones and proudly added that The Bunker will be a big help for all the MSMEs, cooperatives, and other business establishments.
