BALANGA CITY, Bataan – More than a dozen new business owners including a Philippine subsidiary of a multinational company joined the biggest business group in the province.
Last Wednesday night, the Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (BACCII) headed by Armanda Battad held their general membership meeting and induction of new members at The Plaza Hotel in this component city.
The new members are Norie Bautista of Norie Catering; Charito Bautista of Cherry Catering; Carlito Ocampo of The Insular Life Assurance Co.Ltd.; Anita Montefalco of ZSean Travel and Tours; Azucena Sugatain of Zen Spa Lounge; Udamsak Asornphakdee of Charroen Pokphand Foods Philippines; Bonalyn Madonna and Cuasay Sebastian of Cuasay Food Manufacturing; Raquel Duran of Bagakeno Cashew Nuts; Ester Domingo of Montey’s Buko Pie; Emily Carreon of 5 Brothers Squash Toasted Bread; Alvin Aquino of AMBA Enterprises; Myra David of JSD M Gas and JSD Garden; Elenita Dimayuga Pacheco of Villa Cresencia Resort and Mc. Terence Mariz Robles of The Flower Embassy.
The formal induction rites was officiated by former BACCII President Celso Valdecanas of the VL Group of Companies. He was later joined by other past presidents including Rolly Dizon of DSPI Inc. and Vic Quezon of Quezon’s Furniture.
At present, there are more than 200 members of BACCII from different municipalities and city of the province.
In her President’s Report, Battad highlighted the recent signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between BACCII and the United States Trade Mission of Fil-Am Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Provincial Government of Bataan headed by Governor Albert Garcia.
“The highlight of the MOC which binds a Sisterhood between the two Chambers, can also create a bilateral trade and more investment opportunities for all of us and possibly, the opportunity for an exchange visit to the United States,” Battad said.
