Balanga integrates BGIS with Bataeño Pass

The City Government of Balanga under the leadership of Mayor Raquel Garcia has integrated its Barangay Governance Information System (BGIS) with the Bataeño Pass.

Through BGIS, residents can now use their Bataeño Pass card as a single proof of identity to request and receive documents such as Barangay Clearance, Certificate of Residency, and Certificate of Indigency, among others.

The Bataeño Pass was launched in the city’s Barangay Dangcol on October 20 during the Barangay Week program. As of now, more than 2,000 residents from Barangay Dangcol already have their Bataeño Pass IDs.

Developed by the Provincial Government of Bataan, the Bataeño Pass serves as a unified provincial identification system designed to streamline public-service transactions.

It provides residents with a single and secure ID both physical and digital with a QR code-linked profile that can be used in government offices in the province.

Gov. Joet Garcia, who led the launching with Mayor Garcia and other officials, said the program will soon be rolled out provincewide, allowing residents faster and more convenient access to government services.

During the same event, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was also held for the newly established Teen Information Center. The program was supported by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia, members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, and the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Francis Garcia
