Bataeno fathers attend ERPAT training

A total of 18 participants composed of Local Government Unit–Civil Society Organization (LGU-CSO) representatives and 4Ps members attended the Trainer’s Training on Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities (ERPAT) held at the One Bataan Command Center in Orani last June 16-17.

Organized by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the 2-day training aimed to equip the attendees with the necessary knowledge, skills, and values to promote positive fatherhood and responsible parenting in their communities. The initiative supports the broader effort to address and reduce domestic violence by reinforcing the vital roles and responsibilities of fathers within the family.

ERPAT is a community-based program that focuses on the development and enrichment of paternal abilities—enhancing fathers’ capacity to be nurturing, supportive, and actively engaged in family life.

Provincial Board Member Harold Espeleta, a known advocate of family welfare programs, expressed his support for the initiative.

With the successful conduct of this training, participants are now expected to lead ERPAT sessions in their respective municipalities, helping other fathers embrace their responsibilities and become agents of positive change at home and in society.
