Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes Paguia said the University, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Central Luzon will establish a giant freshwater prawn (ulang) hatchery in the province.
The BPSU official recently visited BFAR Central Luzon as the operation for the hatchery is being crafted. He said a Malaysian national from the private sector visited them at BPSU on Tuesday and discussed the technology promotion and the marketing aspect of the project.
He added the Malaysian will provide the brood stocks for the ulang hatchery.
