As the leading agency in the implementation of R.A. 11337, otherwise known as the Innovative Startup Act (ISA), the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region III organized the Regional Pitching Competition in relation to their Digital Startup Development and Acceleration Program (DSDAP) yesterday, October 4, 2023, at the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Main Campus.

Aimed at fostering innovation, cultivating entrepreneurial skills among aspiring students across the region, and contributing to economic growth, especially in the digital technology sector, said competition likewise served as the qualification stage for the Philippine Startup Challenge 8 (PSC) which seeks to encourage and inspire Filipino students to produce outputs relevant to ICT products and services.

A total of 30 teams from Gordon College, Bulacan State University Bustos, Bulacan State University Meneses University, Bulacan State University Main Campus, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Tarlac State University, BPSU, and Asia Pacific College of Advanced Studies (APCAS) Tech will compete with each other to represent the region in the national competition.

BPSU President Dr. Ruby B. Santos-Matibag and Bataan ICT Development Council President, Mr. Bryan Joseph Banzon, graced the event.
