CLPEP Information and Service Caravan

In line with the celebration of the National Children’s Month, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bataan conducted an Information and Service Caravan on Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program (CLPEP) on November 20, 2025 at the Atrium, The Bunker.

Said activity aims to raise awareness on child labor issues and provide accessible services to vulnerable families in the province. During the event, the beneficiaries received orientation on Child Labor Laws, livelihood opportunities and government programs designed to protect children and support parents in securing sustainable sources of income.

A signing of the Pledge of Commitment was also held, where government officials and stakeholders expressed their support in advocating for a child-labor-free Bataan. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the Project Angel Christmas Tree, a special initiative that extends hope and assistance to identified child laborers by providing essential items that support their education, health, and well-being.

Present during the event were DOLE Bataan Provincial Director Antonio Sicat Jr., Board member Iya Roque, Board Member Noel Valdecañas, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and representatives from PhilHealth, TESDA, SSS, PhilHealth, PCPC and Bataan Tripartite Industrial Peace Council.
