In line with the thrust of Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offficer Raul Mamac, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) planted bamboos and conducted environmental seminar in Mariveles.

In a report forwarded to DENR Bataan by Cenro Bagac, 200 bamboo plants were planted along a river separating Barangays Mt. View and Cabcaben, a week ago.
Mamac earlier said that planting bamboos along riverbanks prevents soil erosion. The bamboo planting was in cooperation with barangays Mt. View and Cabcaben.

Aside from Cenro Bagac personnel, the planting was participated by barangay tanods, river marshals, and Tau Gamma Phi members.
Echoing the words of Mamac, Mt. View Kagawad Ferdinand Gutierrez said the activity will protect in the future rice farms in the area from soil erosion.

Cenro Bagac conducted a seminar on Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program and marine turtle conservation among residents in the coastal area of Mt. View.
“We have continued environmental activities”, the Penro said.
Mamac vowed an all-out support to the environmental program of Gov. Abet Garcia.
