Governor Joet Garcia warmly welcomed Deputy Ambassador of Australia to the Philippines Dr. Moya Collett recently. The governor kept the foreign diplomat abreast of the significant developments in the province like the construction of the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, port logistics operations in Mariveles, and other infrastructure projects.
The next day the Australian diplomat visited the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles and was welcomed by Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator & CEO Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman. In a round- table discussion with AFAB key officials, the Australian diplomat was updated on the current state of the Freeport including operations and priorities and existing projects. Collett was later toured around the Freeport to see its strategic location, robust workforce, ready infrastructures, and the flourishing community in the area.
