Rep. Garcia urges barangay officials to involve in planning workshop

BALANGA CITY, Bataan- Representative Jose Enrique S. Garcia lll of Bataan second congressional district has encouraged some 600 barangay officials of Pilar and Orion towns to heartily involve themselves in strengthening peoples’ participation in governance during the briefing on Barangay Master Plan Preparation held recently at Emiliana Hall, this city.

Garcia said village officials of the two adjacent municipalities of Pilar and Orion should adopt the Bayanihan spirit as the core value imbued in the residents which would oblige them to come out with an excellent master plan to trigger further the eco-industrial development of the province.

The first-termer lawmaker underscored to the highly enthusiastic crowd the important role  of the Barangay Master Plan in transforming a community to a more stable and progressive institution in delivering basic services, creating opportunities through financial resources management and revenue generation program, and other extremely motivational factors which would  transcend the aspiration of the people for  socio-economic growth. 

Garcia likewise emphasized the significance of Barangay Development Plan in providing the list of priority projects and constructive information to serve as guide for government planners and agencies in creating a good prospect toward a better and healthier environment.

Participants in the Barangay Planning Workshop include councilmen, treasurers, secretaries and chief barangay tanods of the two towns.
