STABLE employment awaits residents of Abucay, Bataan particularly those young generation looking for good-paying jobs in their locality. The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan’s (AFAB) lays a good fortune for local residents following the approval of the municipal government of Abucay for the Authority to put up area for expansion program.
Engr. Ernesto Vergara, municipal administrator of Abucay, said the facilities of Abucay Multi-purpose Cooperative (AMPC) with floor area of 3,000 square meters and 3,000 square meter lot area will be rented out to prospective locators primarily engaged in business process outsourcing and information technology (BPO/IT). “The area is ready for occupancy by a prospective locator,” said Vergara.
The site located in Baragay Calaylayan is accessible to public transport system. The AFAB had been anticipating the surge of investor arrivals at the FAB prompting it look for expansion areas in municipalities other than Mariveles town. Other possible sites for freeport expansion are Bagac, Pilar towns and Balanga City.
