BALANGA City, Bataan – Driven by that desire to establish rapport with other chapters and architects from outside the country and learn from them, eleven members of the United Architects of the Philippines-Balanga Bataan Chapter (UAP-BBC) recently visited Singapore for their first out of the country trip.

“This will also serve as a short getaway from the architect’s stressful work plus it will be an avenue for us to witness the breath-taking buildings and modern designs that the Singapore has to offer,” said Ar. Ramela Iris Gamboa, Bataan chapter treasurer.

Ar. Gamboa narrated that their first activity was on Jaguar’s Showroom where they have seen contemporary materials for bathroom fixtures. “After that, we attended the UAP-Singapore General Membership Meeting which involves the UniSeal product presentation that gave us insights regarding green roof, how efficient it was, and its advantages,” Ar. Gamboa shared.

A design workshop tagged as Guhit Arkitekto was facilitated by Ar. Eduardo Mendoza. He reminded the participants that even despite the introduction of high-tech gadgets and modern technologies, the basic or manual drawing should not be forgotten.
