Zumba for health, BNHS-GPTA project

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Aimed at updating the newly elected PTA Homeroom Officers regarding the upcoming programs and projects of the association, the BNHS Gen. Parent- teachers Association (GPTA) headed by former Balanga City Councilor Liza Vasquez as Pres., engaged the parents and the teachers to a PTA Assembly held at the BNHS Magsaysay gym last week.
Mr. Rodel C. Dumalag, Department Head of TLE welcomed the guests in lieu of BNHS Principal, Dr. Merlinda C. Dominguez, who said that a GPTA meeting is very important in the sense that, this is a great opportunity for parents and teachers to develop a healthy and strong relationship for the development of the students and their school as a whole.
GPTA Pres. Liza Vasquez in her presentation said that since DEPed has a “No Collection Policy” they are happy to inform all the officers that the Balanga City Lions Club under the leadership of Mr. Zaldy Blanco, volunteered to sponsor the “ZUMBA FOR HEALTH” which will be held on Oct. 27, 2018 at the Balanga City Plaza, of which the proceeds explained Vasquez, will be used in the repair of the GPTA room ceiling, repair of feeding area for indigent students and to put up an interactive learning space for BNHS students.
The GPTA officers appealed to all the homeroom PTA officers to encourage more parents and families to join the Zumba activity and to purchase the T-shirt to be used on the event in amount of P250.00 only.
After the program proper, an open forum ensued wherein the parent- officers actively participated in the different issues of concern like the grade 8 CR which is poorly maintain causing UTI to many students, the rough road going to the grade 8 building which often cause sliding accidents to teachers and students specially during rainy days and other concern.
