₱600-M Hotel expansion set in Subic Freeport

Best Western Plus Hotel Subic has confirmed a major expansion project worth nearly ₱600 million following the signing of a contract for the construction of a new building adjacent to its current facility.

The agreement was formalized between the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and developer Simon & Stanley International Trading and Development Co. Inc., paving the way for the project’s implementation within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

SBMA Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño and hotel Chairman and CEO Jaime “Jack” Uy led the contract signing held at the Corporate Boardroom of the Administration Building on March 31, 2026, witnessed by key agency officials and stakeholders.

According to Architect Jayson Steffen Uy, the new structure will feature 120 additional rooms, commercial spaces, a three-level parking facility, restaurants, and landscaped parks. The project will be undertaken by Savers Group Holdings Inc., the exclusive developer of Best Western properties in the Philippines, with a committed investment of ₱587,967,200.

Officials said the design phase is expected to be completed by this year or next year, with construction targeted to begin by the first quarter of 2027. SBMA welcomed the expansion, citing increased demand for accommodations in the area and highlighting the additional employment opportunities expected to benefit the local community.
