DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – Key officials of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the municipal government here formally opened the 114th Negosyo Center in the country.
Judith Angeles, DTI regional director for Central Luzon and Mayor Maria Angela Garcia led the formal rites in inaugurating the 10th negosyo center in the region along with provincial and local officials here.
Negosyo Centers were established in different areas of the country under the Republic Act 10644 (Go Negosyo Act,) authored by Senator Bam Aquino. “This new law aims to strengthen the partnerships between the LGUs, national government agencies concerned and other public and private partners towards SME (small and medium enterprises) development in the province,” Nelin Cabahug, DTI provincial director told 1Bataan.com
The first Negosyo Center in the province was established this year at the DTI Bataan office in Balanga City. “This is an ideal place for a Negosyo Center because it is located at the ground floor of the municipal hall and beside the one-stop shop making it convenient for investors and business owners in processing their permits and other documents,” Board Member Reynaldo Ibe, the provincial board’s committee on trade and industry and justice committee chairman, told local newsmen.
