BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The provincial government has allocated P15 million for the improvement of the road leading to Bataan National Park in the upland village of Binukawan , Bagac, this province.
Engineer Enrico Yuzon, head of the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) reported the partial cementing of the 10 kilometer mountain trail from Governor J.J. Linao national road to Limutan Falls, reportedly one of the potential tourist spots inside the thickly forested section of Bataan National Park.
Yuzon said the improvement of the road going to Limutan Falls would enhance the volume of tourist arrivals to Bagac town not solely for its world-class beaches but also mountain trekking activities which is now gaining popularity with the opening of several mountain resorts in the periphery of Mount Natib, an extinct volcano, in Barangay Tala, Orani
He said the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is reportedly budgeting under the Kalsada Program some P 50 million for the cementing of the 5 kilometer Limutan access road project for next year in the Provincial Network Road Development Program (PNRDP).
Four other waterfalls within the Bataan National Park are being evaluated to determine their rich natural habitat as potential for inclusion in the provincial wide-scale nature tourism potential plan.
