Municipality of Pilar and PSA Bataan hold Mobile Registration

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Municipality of Pilar through the Local Civil Registry Office (LCR) and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bataan held a Mobile Civil Registration in Liyang Pilar, Bataan last February 19. This was held timely for the celebration of civil registration month this February 2016 with the theme “Makiisa… Makisali sa Dekadang CRVS”.

Municipal Civil Registrar Haidee G. Gunio organized the event with the objective of bringing the service to the barangay folks who neglect unregistered events and errors in their documents.

MCR Gunio was quoted, “Siguruhin ninyo po na lalakarin nyo at kukumpletohin ang requirements kasi lalakarin po namin na mailibre ang ibang dapat ninyong bayaran”, referring to the slots that Mayor Alice D. Pizarro allotted to waive particular fees processing pertinent documents.

Together with her staff, Susana Bunsoy, she was able to attend to more than fifty clients with different concerns such as delayed registration, legitimation through subsequent marriage and correction of errors under RA 9048 and others.

Barangay Chairman Ireneo L. Santiago welcomed the Local Civil Registry staff and PSA Bataan representative Richard T. Guevara during the activity. He was present all throughout the activity making sure that his kababarios’ concerns were addresses appropriately.

Earlier, LCR of Pilar visited barangay Pantingan for the same activity last February 16, 2016. Concluding this month long celebration was the be mobile registration at Barangay Nagwaling on February 26, 2016.

Delayed registration of birth is the registration outside the reglementary period of 30 days.PSA is the major statistical agency responsible in collecting, compiling, classifying, producing, publishing, and disseminating general-purpose statistics. Its function includes carrying out, enforcing and administering the Commonwealth Act 3753 in the delivery of civil registration services as directed by Republic Act 10625.
