BALANGA CITY, Bataan- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here has reiterated the Agency’s continuous program of upgrading product development scheme and promotional marketing activities to become globally competitive.
Ms. Nelin O. Cabahug, DTI Bataan provincial director, said hundreds of small and medium entrepreneurs in Bataan had attended seminar-workshops sponsored by the DTI to pick up the pace in the business trend in product and packaging development to conform with the international standard and procedures.
She enumerated the DTI’s numerous business programs open to all interested individuals or groups to further improve their managerial fundamentals and profitable trading operations with the expanding challenges in the business world.
Explaining the local economic growth idiom, Cabahug as a certified public accountant and former college business professor, said the influx of foreign manufacturing and commercial firms in the province’s industrial zones encourage small and medium entrepreneurs to join the business race and update their knowhow to face the new opportunities.
Updating in business training concept for new local capitalists are required as more food and service oriented trading firms from neighboring provinces of Bataan have started to establish their branches with the growing number of locators eyeing the progressive Bataan Ecozones, Cabahug added.
