New transport firm to serve night-shift workers from AFAB

MARIVELES, Bataan – Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion is evaluating the possibility of seeking a new transport firm to service night shift industrial workers and residents in the fast growing agro-industrial economic  zone.

Concepcion has initially conferred with the officials of the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for the granting of permit  to operate at least 10 mini-buses starting  from the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan(AFAB) to Balanga City.

Mayor Conception and the Municipal Sangguniang Bayan are optimistic with the great potential of the province’s industrial town to attract local and foreign capitalists with the establishment of the largest food conglomerate in the country to establish a 500 hectare  special economic  zone along the coastal boundaries of Mariveles and Bagac towns.

He said investors are now weighing the economic benefits, production cost and numerous fiscal and non-fiscal incentives since the new investments include the putting up of coal–powered plant.

“In the new business concept, the inclusion of dependable  and reliable transport system  is an important factor  to achieve growth”, Concepcion added.

Residents outside of the province are reportedly seeking employment  in Japanese and Taiwanese  industrial plants  in Mariveles and Hermosa towns.
