Mariveles government provides business-friendly environment to locators

MARIVELES, Bataan – The local government of Mariveles is providing a business-friendly environment to locators inside the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

“We in the local government and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan are working hand in hand to provide a conducive environment for locators”, said Mayor AJ Concepcion during the press briefing  on Tuesday  for the  formal opening of Pietrucha Manufacturing Philippines, Inc. plant  inside the FAB here.

 

Present during the event were Poland Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Joanna Wronecka; Gov. Abet Garcia; Pietrucha Company CEO Jerzy Pietrucha; DTI Undersecretary for Industry Ceferino Rodolfo; Philippine Ambassador to Poland Patricia Ann Paez; AFAB Chairman and Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda;  Pietrucha’s  Filipino partner Roberto Tenchavez; Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton; and other officials.

 

“There is no competition between Mariveles LGU and AFAB. We work together for progress in line with the vision of Gov. Abet Garcia”, Concepcion said.

 

“When I was still municipal councilor, I had been dealing with regards to my work  to the newly appointed AFAB Chairman and Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda, then the deputy administrator for operations”, said the mayor who looked visibly satisfied with Pineda’s appointment.

 

For his part, Garcia said Pietrucha is another proof of the viability of the province to host big investments. He also praised the high engineering technology the company uses to manufacture its products.

 

The company manufactures vinyl sheet piling which is environment friendly, lightweight and extremely durable and advanced alternative to the traditional materials such as steel, concrete and wood. They are used to reinforce flood protection systems, construct flood walls, protects the banks of various water reservoir as well as to protect slopes, landslides, and various excavation sites.

 

The launching of Pietrucha Manufacturing Philippines is the first Poland –Philippines investment joint venture in the civil engineering sector in the country.
