Bataan’s nutrition programs cited

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The province of Bataan was recently awarded first runner up-2015 Most Outstanding Province in the Region for its exemplary nutrition programs, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA Bataan) reported.

Jose Mari Garcia, PIA Bataan chief, said the news was announced during last Friday’s Provincial Nutrition Council meeting in Capitol compound, highlighting Bataan’s win in the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony next to champion, Bulacan province.
The programs validated for this year were those implemented in 2015.
The annual Regional Nutrition Awarding ceremony recognizes the outstanding performances of local government units in nutrition planning and implementation.
