91.1 Sikat FM grants birthday wish of old woman

BALANGA, Bataan – The birthday wish of an old woman to have a transistor radio was granted by local radio station 91.1 Sikat FM.

Gloria Morales, 79, accompanied by his son Norberto Morales, received the transistor radio from Elias Almelor of the program Ka Elias Live at the radio station located in the 2^nd floor Jadevine Building, Capitol Drive, Balanga City.

Station Manager Noel Gatacelo and this writer and anchorman of Radyo Balita program witnessed the giving of transistor radio to Morales, an avid listener of Sikat FM and resident of Barangay Wawa, Pilar.

Almelor found out that the old woman had to go to a neighbor to listen to a cellphone with FM radio.

“The old woman is a regular texter to my program and I learned her plight”, narrated Almelor.

Norberto cried as he saw her mother receiving the radio. “You make my mother very happy”, he said.

The transistor radio given to Morales was donated by Dr. Mer Dizon who owns an optical shop in this City.
