DOST- Bataan, BPSU conduct packaging, label design training

CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST)- Bataan and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) are hosting a 3-day training workshop for food photography, packaging and label design which aims to uplift the quality of local products of the province, held at PATVEP Hostel, BPSU-Main Campus, this City, Jan. 11-13.

Representatives from the different institutions and organizations such as the BPSU, DOST-Bataan, DOST-Zambales, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)- Bataan, Management Information Systems (MIS) Provincial Capitol, Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office, and Bataan Food and Non-Food Manufacturers Association, Inc., attend said training to equip themselves with appropriate knowledge regarding the skill.

For day 1, lectures are focused on food photography to be followed by some drills on the same topic to be facilitated by Mr. Manuel Joson Jr., Science Research Specialist (SRS)-I from DOST-III and a professional photographer. While in day 2, Mr. Randolph Valencia, SRS-II and the Head of the Technical Consultancy and Training Unit DOST-III, will tackle the concepts of packaging and labeling, graphics design, bar coding and nutrient labeling and branding.

For the last day of the seminar, resource speakers Mr. Joson and Mr. Valencia will critique the outputs of the participants.
