ORANI, Bataan – General Manager Benni Andres of Orani Water District (OWD) was speaker in one of the events of the World Apostolic Congress of Mercy (WACOM) held recently in Bataan.
“I was one of the two speakers at WACOM event in St. Joseph Cathedral. I gave testimony on my experience in providing drinking water in far-flung areas of Orani. We have provided clean water to far-flung Sitios Legwa, Bayanbayanan, and Baliteng Pula”, he said.
“I also shared our reforestation project. We have already planted 50,000 trees in Tala watershed area”, he said.
“The other speaker was a priest in Bataan. Around 1,600 delegates that included foreigners attended the event in the cathedral”, Andres said.
“I was invited because the topic was about water as a basic right”, he also said.
“I had been invited last year by Bishop Ruperto Santos, though said event didn’t push through”, Andres added.
