Bataan has new DENR chief

PILAR, Bataan – Raymond A. Rivera assumed as the new head of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), replacing Raul H. Mamac.

In a simple turn over ceremony held inside PENRO office here, the assumption of Rivera was presided by DENR director and Assistant Secretary for Operations-Luzon Juan Miguel Cruz.
Rivera was the former community environment officer in Masinloc, Zambales. He vowed to buckle down to work for the environment programs of Bataan, a highly-industrialized province in Central Luzon whose land is fast-becoming commercialized due to the sprouting of various business establishments and the expansion of Bataan Freeport, Hermosa Economic Zone and Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.
