HERMOSA, Bataan – Covered courts in all barangays, improved roads, multi-purpose buildings and efficient flood control systems.
Acknowledging help and assistance he gets from his friends outside this province, Mayor Jopet Inton revealed on Tuesday that his administration has intensified infrastructure activities within the municipality.
Recently, utilizing the financial assistance from various senators; covered courts, road projects and multi-purpose buildings were built in Barangays Bamban, Mambog, Mabiga, Almacen, Maite, Mandama, Cataning, Tipo and Bacong.
“Bago pa man po tayo maupo bilang mayor ay nakapagdala na po tayo ng pondo rito mula sa mga kaibigan nating senador,” Inton quips.
Among the senators who contributed funds for the Hermosa infrastructure projects are Senators Tito Sotto, JV Ejercito, Joel Villanueva, Grace Poe, Cynthia Villar and Gringo Honasan to name a few.
Inton added that flood control projects and clearing of waterways in preparation for the rainy season are also ongoing.
The first-termer mayor is also one of the main partners of Bataan Governor Abet Garcia in bringing investors to the Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles and other economic zones in the Province.
Being a commercial pilot, Inton uses the opportunity to talk personally to potential investors as he fetches and brings them to various economic zones here including the Hermosa Ecozone and the FAB.
“Bringing in investors from outside greatly helps us achieve our goals as LGU chiefs and at the same time economic managers that resulted to more jobs and increased economic activities not just in Hermosa but the whole province as well,” Inton said.
Mayor Inton is also one of the major proponents of the 17km proposed road particularly from Mabiga exit of the SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway) to Subic area.
