CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – Commission on Human Rights Regional Director Atty. Jasmin Navarro-Regino enlightened the members of the Bagong Sigla ng Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina ng Bataan, Inc (KALIPI) on the provisions of the Magna Carta of Women during this year’s Provincial Celebration of Women’s Month led by the Provincial Government of Bataan thru the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, held yesterday March 22 at Lou-Is Resort and Restaurant, this City.
Themed “We Make Change. Work for Women”, Atty Navarro-Regino, a women empowerment advocate, also discussed Gender Development and Gender Mainstreaming. She zeroed in on the rights, privileges and benefits of women woman in accordance with the law.
Also present in the event, Mrs. Marilyn C. Tigas, PSWDO Head, challenged and inspired the participants to balance their time in serving the community and taking care of their own families. Former Board Member Gaudencio Ferrer also shared the vital role of women in the development of the province in his short message.
The celebration started with a lively foot parade around the city. KALIPI members from selected municipalities showcased their talents through their special numbers to the delight of the4 audience.
