In case of emergency, Dial 911

CAPITOL GROUNDS – Governor Abet S. Garcia proudly announced during this morning’s flag raising ceremony that Bataan is the first province nationwide (actually second to Davao City) whose 911 hotline is already activated. According to the hardworking governor, in any emergency situation, every second counts, hence the activation of 911 hotline is very important. The 911 hotline can be reached using the landline, Smart and Talk n Text. Negotiations are still underway with Globe.

In a related development, Gov. Abet requested everybody to offer a short prayer for the people of Batangas who recently, were affected by a series earthquakes (and aftershocks). He also announced that the provincial government is sending help to the affected residents.

Meanwhile, in expressing his gratitude to the Provincial Information Office and the Management Information Office (PIO-MISO) for leading this morning’s flag raising ceremony, he described the offices’ initiatives and accomplishments based on Mr. Geoffrey Loyola’s report as “cutting edge”.

Before he ended his message, Gov. Abet rallied the capitol employees to continue doing their best and to even compete with the private sector in terms of providing quality services to the public.

Earlier, Fr. Noel Nuguid blessed the newly acquired vehicles to be used by the MBDA personnel in manning and ensuring the safety of motorists and passengers traversing the Bataan Highways
