1st National Conference on Food, Environment, Engineering and Technology, a success!

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) successfully held its 1st National Conference on Food, Environment, Engineering and Technology.

The national conference was able to invite resource persons with solid track record and achievement in respective thematic areas.

Expert speakers who made the conference a fruitful one included DOST PCAARRD Dr. Melvin Carlos, DOST PCIEERD Dr. Carlos Primo David, and ABS CBN Foundation President, Gina Lopez, among others.

The national conference was able to draw good attendance with participants from as far as Zamboanga. There were attendees from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Part of the conference was presentation of papers of participants on areas of food, environment, engineering, and technology.

Participants also had a great time with spectacle of dances and other entertainment numbers during the Fellowship/Bataan Night.

Vice Governor Cris Garcia representing Gov. Abet Garcia, Congresswoman Geraldine Roman, and Councilor Jovic Baluyot representing Balanga City Mayor Francis Garcia graced the event.

BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis lauded the technical working group behind the national conference that included BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Rudy Flores and BPSU Research Development Director Dr. Hermogenes Paguia.

The BPSU Research Development Office was the lead office in the conduct of the conference. The conference was also in partnership with the Philippine Association of Agriculturists-Central Luzon Chapter.

Through the leadership of Rodis, the University aims to be in the forefront of promoting science and technology innovations.

The university president fully backed the staging of the national conference.
