PILAR, Bataan – Three prominent businessmen have expressed their utmost desire to participate in the development of the Mount Samat into a notable cultural and historical landmark in the Island of Luzon.
Mayor Alice D. Pizarro has revealed that these new locators are opting to build a prewar hotel, a museum for Filipino Arts, and a health and wellness recreation center near the Dunsulan Falls.
Mayor Pizarro is expecting more dynamic and vigorous expansion of the famous Mount Samat, now under the tutelage of Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) of the Department of Tourism to make it a premier tourist spot.
Engineer Eusebio Aquino, proprietor of the Plaza Hotel and one the major stockholders of St. Joseph Medical Center in Balanga City, is eyeing to construct a 1940’s vintage –type worth P 300 million hotel at the foot of Mount Samat which is formerly-owned by the relative of a former Bataan governor.
The lady town executive extolled the selection of the proposed vintage hotel which is strategically located near the entry point of Pilar Zipline which is fast becoming a tourism and travel destination in the historic peninsula.
Ms. Pizarro, a tourism graduate of the University of the Philippines, is constructive on the bright prospect of tourism industry in Bataan with the various projects relative to tourism structures and maintenance.
Another prospective investor, Mr. Jojie dela Cruz,of Bataan Development Bank is reportedly scouting for a viable site for the construction of a Museum for Filipino Arts uniquely designed with a flaming torch in the lower segment of the Mt. Samat.
While, Mr. Wilver Lee, owner of Oriental Hotel at the Freeport Area of Bataan in Mariveles town is conducting ocular inspection in the periphery of Dunsulan Falls for the wellness and health fitness recreation facilities for the visitors from other parts of Central Luzon and Metro Manila.
Mayor Pizarro is looking forward to the involvement of small and medium entrepreneurs to further develop their skills for local cottage industries, promoting locally produced foods and other delicacies, job generations and government revenues.
