Cavite lady mayor exalts Manila Bay bridge project

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT- A lady city mayor of Cavite yesterday extolled the proposed construction of a multi-billion dollar Bataan – Corregidor – Cavite bridge project linking two affluent historical provinces in Luzon as a strategic and monumental prosperity scheme of the eco-industrial development policy of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte .
City Mayor Lani Mercado of Bacoor, Cavite who delivered a well-applauded speech on the huge bridge project before some 2,000 Bataan provincial and municipal officials and representatives from multi-business sectors during the Hugpong ng Pagbabago and Balikatan signing of alliance held at Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center .
The lady city executive and a popular actress said the proposed toll bridge plan across Manila Bay to connect the country’s first export processing zone in Mariveles town – Island fortress of Corregidor – to Naic, a coastal town of Cavite which is adjacent to Rosario town and General Trias City considered as the second industrial zone established in the 1970’s.
Mayor Mercado is expecting more significant economic impact with the operation of the longest toll bridge in the country which would provide profitable opportunity for local and foreign corporate investors to put up or relocate their commercial and manufacturing entities to strategic sites outside of highly congested Metro Manila.
Manila-based corporate investment groups have undergone more comprehensive research evaluations of the revenue-earning potentials of the highly-progressive regions outside of Metro Manila due to higher production cost in extremely overcrowded urban areas and perennial traffic mess.
Meanwhile, Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia explained the proposed multi-billion dollar Manila Bay bridge project with a span of about 22 –kilometers would bring exceptional development and solid eco-industrial structures as significant nucleus of progressive scenario of three major regions Calabarzon,National Capital Region and Central Luzon.
He added the ideal geographical location and friendly business atmosphere in the historic peninsula would further get better with the colossal bridge toll project becomes shortest interlink routes of two super regains which is designed to accommodate oil,water, and basic utility pipelines,fiber optics and other facilities including passenger railways.
