Provincial forum on Expanded Senior Citizens Act held

Resource speakers from BIR, DOH, DTI, PENELCO & BATAWAD (Bataan Association of Water Districts) discussed the necessary supplemental laws that will facilitate the implementation of RA 9994 provisions such as on the availment of medical benefits, health privileges, special discounts on the purchase of basic necessities and prime commodities, special utility discounts on water and electricity consumption ,value-added tax exemption on selected transactions of senior citizens, employment opportunities, discounted accommodation/ lodging and free skills development and trainings .

Moreover, the forum also served as an orientation to the newly appointed Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Heads and the target members of the Provincial Coordinating & Monitoring Board on their roles and functions particularly in monitoring the establishments.
