The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) announced the implementation of the FAB Residential ID System for all residents of the Freeport as part of its mandate to regulate and monitor entry and movement within the Freeport.
AFAB said the Residential ID System will serve as the official identification of FAB residents and will be used for verification within residential areas, particularly during access checks, security operations, emergencies, and official transactions.
The initiative aims to strengthen security and ensure proper identification of individuals inside the Freeport community.
The implementation is in line with Section 122 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9728, as amended by Republic Act 11453, which requires all persons and vehicles entering and exiting FAB residential areas to secure the appropriate pass, clearance, or identification issued by AFAB.
Residents who wish to obtain their FAB Residential ID may coordinate with the AFAB Community Services Department located at the Lower Ground Floor of the AFAB Administration Building in FAB from Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm.
The FAB Residential Area Pass and ID System will officially take effect on June 1, 2026 and residents will be encouraged to process their IDs early to avoid inconvenience.
