All systems go – APEC Summit 2015 in Bataan

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Representatives from the Department of Finance (DoF), National Organizing Committee, the host agency for the upcoming APEC Summit 2015 in June to be held in the picturesque Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac held this morning a consultation meeting with the local government officials of the Province led by Governor Abet S. Garcia at the Crown Royale Hotel, this City.

During the meeting, representatives from the DoF led by Mr. Zaldy Patron, Mr. Marc Gregory Crisostomo, and Mr. Arsenio Pascual II, underscored the importance of the APEC Summit, foremost of which is the fact that this is the best time to show the APEC Summit delegates, guests and even members of the international media what is best about Bataan, why invest in Bataan.

Tackled during the meeting were the areas of concern of the different committees during the four-day summit. PCI Arnel Morales Dial, Chief Operations and Plans Branch, Bataan Police Provincial Office presented safety and security preparations.

Ms. Techie Banzon, Provincial Tourism Officer discussed the interagency composition of the Technical Working Committee of the province and their corresponding areas of concern.

Attending the APEC Senior Finance Officials Meeting and Financial Transparency and Taxation Dialogue are no less than 200 delegates from the 21 APEC economies, international financing institutions like the ADB and the IMF and members of international media.

Also present during the consultation meeting are the department heads of the provincial government of Bataan, Mr. Francis Initorio of FAB, Mrs. Amanda Battad of BACCI, Mayor Ramil del Rosario of Bagac and other stakeholders.
