Farmer organizations to get projects from World Bank thru DAR

ABUCAY, Bataan – Farmer organizations from Bataan and Zambales will get projects from World Bank thru the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

“The projects are under IPAC of World Bank”, said Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Engr. Eric San Luis. He said they have already submitted the project proposals last June to World Bank.

“Farmer organizations in the clustered towns of Morong, Dinalupihan, and Hermosa in Bataan, and Castillejos and San Marcelino, Zambales are the beneficiaries of the projects”, said San Luis, who is the provincial agrarian reform officer of the two provinces. Consultations with would be beneficiaries were made prior to the drafting of the project proposals submitted to World Bank.

San Luis pointed out that the projects will focus on commodity crops. He added the components of the projects are infrastructure support, agricultural enterprise development, and land tenure improvement.
