In the past years, the city government, led by outgoing city mayor Joet Garcia (congressman-elect for the second district), has implemented significant programs to promote organic farming. One of these was the “Kasama Ani sa Barangay (KaAniB) program.
This project promotes land owners to convert their idle lands into small organic farms. The produce from each small scale organic farm were sold in stalls during the observance of Mayor Joet’s barangay week program.
