Bataan PPO breaks ice, holds sports fest

CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan-Themed “Paligsahan Tungo sa Nagkakaisang Pulisya at ibang Ahensya ng Bataan, the Bataan PPO conducted the opening ceremony of their Basketball and Badminton Tournament and Muse Competition held at the Camp Tolentino Covered Court, this City, last October 21, with the goal of promoting unity and sportsmanship within the PNP and other agencies of Bataan.

The event started with a motorcade of participants from the different MPS of Bataan, Provincial Headquarters, Provincial Capitol Office, Balanga City Hall, Provincial Engineering Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail and Penology, Coastguard, MBDA, CIDG, Balanga CPS, 48^th IB, and Provincial Public Safety Council, from Plaza Mayor to Camp Tolentino.

PSupt. Palmer Z. Tria, from DPDO welcomed the guests and delegates while PCInsp. Leobaldom R. Bacon, Chief of PPHRDB presented the participants. PSupt Romell A. Velasco, from DPDA, declared the official opening of the sports fest while PSupt. Ricardo B. Santiago Jr., AC, PCRB, led the players in taking the oath of sportsmanship.

The Provincial Director, PSSupt. Benjamin H. Silo Jr. reminded the participants that the said sports fest is a way to unify them and to always live in the spirit of sportsmanship.

The team captain of each team raised his team banner followed by the competition of the muses representing each team.

After some rounds of ramp modeling and showing their wit in the question and answer portion, the muses of Bagac/Morong MPS and Provincial Engineering Office won 2^nd Runner-up, while the muse of Dinalupihan-PNP-SAF emerged as the 1^st Runner-up and the muse of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines team brought home the crown.
