BIR chief, Bataan Gov vow to work hand in hand

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan – For the interest of the public, newly-designated Bataan Revenue District Officer of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Atty. Vicky Reynante assured today her full support to the provincial government for the benefit of the public.

A CPA-lawyer, Reynante told the governor that while it is her mandate to deliver their collection targets, she also needs the help of the provincial government in collecting the right taxes so they can help the provincial government through the Internal Revenue Allotment released annually to the province, to its lone city and 11 municipalities.

For his part, Gov. Garcia assured the BIR chief that he will also extend support and offered the BIR a space in the soon-to be-constructed One-stop-shop provincial government center inside the capitol compound.

Garcia told Reynante that by January next year, the construction of the P2.5 billion provincial government center will be started after the Malaysian funder gave the go-signal to proceed. “You can avail a long term lease or purchase per square meter and set up your own office right inside the capitol to form part of our vision of having a one-stop-shop for the public,” Garcia told the BIR chief.

Atty. Reynante replaced Mr. Roberto Manalili.
