BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in coordination with the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted local recruitment activity here for various posts in the tax collection agency.

Russel M. Abuyan, Chief of the Human Resource Management Section of BIR Region 3 (Central Luzon) manned the recruitment activity held at the capitol compound on Tuesday. Gemo Espinosa, BIR Bataan Administrative Officer and Maricel Montemayor, BIR Region Administrative Staff, assisted in the activity.

Newly passed certificate public accountants (CPAs) and civil service eligible professionals submitted requirements in the activity. A lawyer also signified interest to apply at the BIR. The applicants will take an examination at the BIR Conference Room Regional Office 3, City of San Fernando, Pampanga on June 25.

“We continuously conduct hiring activity to fill in vacant posts in our agency. The BIR recruitment process has integrity”, said Abuyan. She said BIR needs examiners, accountants, collection agents to name a few. She added that many vacant posts are up for grabs at the BIR Bataan Revenue District Office alone. She also announced that they will include IT graduates in the next recruitment activity in the province this year.

Espinosa said the staging of the recruitment activity here was through the initiative of Bataan Revenue District Officer Rey Roberto Manalili and PESO Bataan headed by its Manager Melchor Cui who provided the venue and provided assistance in inviting qualified applicants.

Abuyan said BIR Central Luzon top officials, OIC Regional Director Conrad Lee and OIC Assistant-Chief Administrative and Human Resource Management Division Leilani C. Caluag fully support the recruitment activity aimed at hiring qualified people for an efficient and functional BIR.
