BPSU job order, COS employees are now SSS members

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The about 120 job order and contract of services (COS) employees of the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) are now Social Security System (SSS) members.

BPSU President Dr.  Greg Rodis and SSS Balanga Branch Head Joel Villafuerte recently signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) at BPSU Main Campus to formalize the SSS membership of the job order and COS employees of the state university.

Edmundo Tungol, BPSU Vice President for Admin and Finance and SSS Balanga assistant head were also signatories to the MOA.

Villafuerte lauded the leadership of BPSU for understanding the condition of their non-regular employees and readily welcoming them. He said the membership deduction of BPSU employees will start next year.

An officer of the Office of the BPSU Vice President for Admin and Finance explained that COS employees are mostly college instructors.
